I have such a deep admiration for this guy because...
- We have always been close and I have a million memories with him. All good. We never fought growing up. Truly. For example, one time I was invited to a birthday party and I told the little girl I could only go if my little brother could come.
- Troy has the kindest soul you would ever come across.
- I can tell him my deepest, darkest secrets and he will just accept and love. Never judge.
- He is so interesting to converse with because he is so knowledgeable about all kinds of things...and he is passionate about what he knows.
- His travels around the globe have made him aware, open, and welcoming.
- He's an old soul and a deep thinker. For example, in high school he was having lunch with me and a girlfriend. We got to talking about our biggest fears. She and I immediately responded, "getting fat" (shallow? yes). Troy, however, said "losing the ability to think".
- We were so different growing up. I was the "bow head" cheerleader and he was the cool, mystery, artsy guy. But, we got each other...we loved and understood.
- My kids adore him - making him a great uncle...
- He adores his wife - making him a great husband...
- And he adores his son - making him a magical dad.
Happy Birthday Troy Boy! I love you like a front tooth!
